The DOJ Says There Are "No Names of Child Molesters" in the Epstein Files. They Also Forgot to Redact His Social Security Number.

When the Department of Justice released 42,182 pages of Epstein files under the EFTA (Epstein Files Transparency Act), they assured the public there were "no names of child molesters" in the release.

They also left Jeffrey Epstein's Social Security Number on page EFTA00013849:

It appears twice in the corpus. Once in a warrant request, once in a bank records subpoena.

If they can't handle basic PII redaction on a dead man, what does that tell you about their claim?

The Shape of the Hole

What they carefully protected:

• The four named co-conspirators (identities sealed)

• Full list of NPA immunity recipients

• Specific financial transaction amounts

• The "potential co-conspirators" blanket immunity list

What they carelessly exposed:

• Epstein's Social Security Number

• Maxwell's personal email

• JPMorgan account numbers

• Victim statements naming perpetrators with specific ages

• The Habsburg Group / Manafort connection

• Austrian passport false identity

The pattern is clear: They protected the living and powerful. They were careless with everything else.

The Barclays Connection

The files also contain evidence of the UK Parliament blackmail operation:

"Epstein blackmailed Parliament to install Jes Staley as Barclays CEO"

The Treasury Select Committee admitted in a FOIA response that they possess the blackmail emails.

Banks involved: Barclays, Deutsche Bank, JPMorgan Chase.

Robert Maxwell—Ghislaine's father, British media tycoon, alleged Mossad asset—died falling from his yacht "Lady Ghislaine" in 1991.

The Immunity Network

The 2007 Non-Prosecution Agreement didn't just protect Epstein. It immunized:

• "Any potential co-conspirator" (unlimited scope)

• Four named co-conspirators (identities sealed)

• Schedulers (the women who booked victims)

This blanket immunity protected the entire trafficking network for 13+ years until Epstein's 2019 arrest.

Ghislaine Maxwell was immunized by the NPA. She wasn't prosecuted until after Epstein's death rendered the agreement moot.

The DOJ's Game

The DOJ's claim that there are "no names of child molesters" is:

1. Technically defensible only if you define "child molester" as "convicted" (circular—the NPA prevented convictions)

2. Substantively false—victim statements name perpetrators with ages, locations, and specific acts

3. Information warfare—a preemptive frame designed for headlines, not accuracy

They knew exactly what was in these files. They chose their words carefully.

They just forgot to redact the Social Security Number.
