# A Cast Member From Eyes Wide Shut Is in the Epstein Files. Nobody Searched.

Stanley Kubrick died on March 7, 1999. His final film, Eyes Wide Shut, depicted elite masked orgies at a grand estate, exploitation hidden behind wealth, and a system that silences anyone who sees behind the curtain.

Twenty-six years later, we searched the government's own documents. What we found isn't conspiracy theory. It's a DOJ filing.

The Document

**EFTA01923407** is an email dated May 26, 2014, released by the Department of Justice as part of the Epstein Files Transparency Act haul. In it, a person identified as "Mortimer" writes:

> "I was with Elite model agency travelled the world became a TV presenter and then various movies only small pans though last movie I did was Stanley's Kubricks 'eyes wide shut' ....very good friends with Prince Andrew and Sarah and the girls! Perhaps when you are town if you like and they are around I could organise a drink?"

Read that again.

A person who appeared in Eyes Wide Shut. Connected to Elite Model Agency — the European modeling world that Jean-Luc Brunel operated within, the same pipeline documented in the federal trafficking prosecution. Personally offering to arrange drinks with Prince Andrew, Sarah Ferguson, and their daughters. All of this inside Jeffrey Epstein's document corpus.

The reply, from a "Jonathan" who claims four Tony Awards, a Park Avenue apartment at 22, a Ford Model wife at 23, and work for President Reagan:

What We Searched

We have 398,525 DOJ Epstein documents indexed and searchable. We ran 56 queries across 37 indexes including 2 million ICIJ offshore entity records and 3.3 million relationship edges.

Here is what the data says.

**"Rothschild"** — 3,272 hits in the Epstein files. 731 ICIJ offshore entities. The anchor document is EFTA00027019: a financial exhibit listing Leon Black / Rothschild Group transactions from 2013-2018, part of the $158 million pipeline that flowed through Epstein.

Why does this matter? Because the exterior of the Somerton mansion in Eyes Wide Shut was filmed at **Mentmore Towers** — built in 1852 for Baron Mayer de Rothschild. And in the ICIJ offshore leaks, five entities bear the "Mentmore" name, including one registered at "The Old Vicarage, Mentmore, Buckinghamshire" — the same village as the Rothschild estate where Kubrick filmed his elite orgy scenes.

**"Costume party"** — 151 hits. Peggy Siegal (Epstein's social architect) emailing [email protected] about a "very hot chic costume party that Allison Sarofim hosts every year." Epstein himself writing about sponsoring a "Halloween Costume Party sleepover."

**"Somerton"** — the name of the fictional mansion. In the Epstein files, Somerton Partners is a London headhunting firm that arranged Peter Mandelson's position at Deutsche Bank — Epstein's primary bank. The email was forwarded directly to Epstein's inbox. The name match is coincidental. The Deutsche Bank connection is not.

**Les Wexner** — 4,099 hits. The highest facial recognition confidence score in the entire DOJ evidence photo corpus: 14.999. He gave Epstein the Manhattan mansion. Victoria's Secret was used as a recruitment tool — documented in a 1997 police report. The FBI labeled him a "co-conspirator" in a 2019 document. Never charged.

**Jean-Luc Brunel** — 3,310 hits. 430 ICIJ offshore entities. Direct correspondence: "A girl coming at 3:30." Three evidence photographs at 88%, 86%, and 71% facial recognition confidence. Found hanged in his cell at La Sante Prison, February 19, 2022. Brunel ran MC2 Model Management. "Mortimer" from EFTA01923407 was with Elite Model Agency — the same European modeling ecosystem.

**Ghislaine Maxwell** — 15,077 hits. Recruited Sergey Brin at TED. Hosted post-conviction Manhattan townhouse parties where Bill Clinton and Jeff Bezos attended. A photo of Trump with Maxwell was found on Steve Bannon's phone; prosecutors wrote "no need to do anything."

What the Film Got Right

The Maxwell trial established the recruitment architecture: approaching young women through modeling, spas, and social institutions. Building trust. Normalizing contact. A pyramid structure where victims recruited victims.

In the film, the costume shop owner discovers his underage daughter with older men. The password to the elite gathering is "Fidelio." The shop is called "Rainbow Fashions."

In reality, Epstein posed as a Victoria's Secret recruiter. Brunel sent 12-year-old girls from France as birthday gifts. The password was money. The shop was MC2 Model Management.

Every Kubrick film asks the same question in a different costume: who actually runs the system, and what happens to the person who sees behind the curtain?

Paths of Glory — the military machine. Dr. Strangelove — the nuclear machine. A Clockwork Orange — the state machine. Barry Lyndon — the aristocratic machine. Eyes Wide Shut — the exploitation machine.

Barry Lyndon is the Epstein story told in period dress: an outsider who cons his way into the aristocracy, serves the machine, and is destroyed when he becomes a liability. Kubrick filmed that one at real aristocratic estates too.

What the Film Got Wrong

The "24 minutes cut by Warner Bros." claim has no evidence. Nigel Galt, the film's own editor, stated in a 2025 Criterion Collection interview: "There was nothing missing. That cut is Stanley's cut the day he died."

The Nicole Kidman quote — "Stanley told me the world is run by pedophiles" — originates from YourNewsWire (now NewsPunch), a documented fabricator of celebrity quotes. No video, audio, or transcript exists. Kidman has never confirmed it.

The 666-day death count (March 7, 1999 to January 1, 2001) is arithmetically correct and meaningfully irrelevant.

The Through-Line

Arthur Schnitzler wrote Traumnovelle in 1926 — elite Viennese exploitation, secret societies, masked orgies. Kubrick adapted it in 1999 and filmed it inside a Rothschild mansion. A cast member from that film turns up in the Epstein files offering to arrange drinks with Prince Andrew through Elite Model Agency.

The fiction didn't predict reality. They were running on parallel tracks. The same system Schnitzler documented in 1926 Vienna was the system Epstein operated in 2006 New York. Kubrick just pointed the camera at it and set it in the actual buildings where it happens.

The government released 3.5 million pages. The media ran headlines. Nobody searched the documents.
