# Do You Know These People?

Earlier today I published The $0.45 Face Scanner — how a face-blind person used MediaPipe and Google Cloud Vision to identify 18 people in DOJ evidence photographs from the Epstein files.

The machine found the famous faces. I found a few more manually. There are still 36 faces it couldn't match.

I need your help.

What We're Looking At

The DOJ released 42,182 scanned evidence images across the Epstein case files. My pipeline detected 279 images containing human faces — 297 total faces. Google Cloud Vision identified the well-known ones: Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, Prince Andrew, Les Wexner, Jean-Luc Brunel, Richard Branson, Brett Ratner, Peter Mandelson, Boris Nikolic, Danny Hillis, Tommy Mottola.

The rest came back as "gentleman" or "human." The API does web matching, not facial recognition — if your face doesn't exist in a famous-enough context on the internet, it comes back blank.

Most of these photos come from a personal photo album spanning EFTA evidence pages 6353 through 6982. Candid shots — dinner parties, tropical locations, boats, what appears to be the island. The people in them were close enough to Jeffrey Epstein to be in his personal photo collection.

The Faces We Can't Identify

Below are face crops extracted from DOJ evidence photographs. Each EFTA number is the evidence page reference — verifiable against the DOJ release at justice.gov/epstein.

Who the Machine Already Found

For proof the methodology works — here are some of the people Google Cloud Vision correctly identified in the same evidence files:

**Aníbal Acevedo Vilá** — EFTA00006660

**Boris Nikolić** — EFTA00006872

**Brett Ratner** — EFTA00006983

**Peter Mandelson** — EFTA00006935

**Robert F Kennedy Jr** — EFTA00006455

**Tommy Mottola** — EFTA00006898

Plus three manual identifications: **Richard Branson** (EFTA00000515), **Kevin Spacey**, and **Ricardo Mangue Obama Nfubea** (Vice President of Equatorial Guinea).

How I Built This

I'm face blind. Prosopagnosia. I can't tell you who's sitting across from me at dinner if I haven't heard their voice yet.

So I built a pipeline: MediaPipe BlazeFace to detect faces across 42,182 JP2 images. Found 279 images with faces — 297 individual faces. Cropped each one with 30% padding for context. Ran every crop through Google Cloud Vision's web detection API. 297 API calls. Total cost: approximately 45 cents.

What I Need

Eyes. And money.

If you can identify anyone above, email **[email protected]** with the EFTA page number and the name.

If you want to fund the next phase — OCR on all 42,182 images, dedicated facial recognition (not just web matching), cross-referencing against flight logs and the full 329,474-document index — same email.

The entire Epstein evidence archive — 329,474 documents, 42,182 images, fully indexed, searchable, and cross-referenced — runs on $76 a month. Two people in Minnesota built this. The pipeline exists. The data exists. The methodology works.

I just need someone to pay for it.
