# Epstein Files: Maxwell's $14.2M Money Trail, Clinton Aide Dinner Parties, and the Stockholm Witness

The DOJ's Epstein Files release contains 56,176 searchable documents. We've been mining them with full-text search and targeted OCR analysis. Today's findings connect Maxwell's money, Clinton's inner circle, and a mysterious Swedish witness.

The Doug Band Email

EFTA00011434 is an email from Maxwell ([email protected]) to Doug Band, Bill Clinton's longtime aide, at his official address.

The content:

*"Philip just e mailed me your contact info."*

*"When we are all back in NY the plan is to do a dinner - we'll have the sluty Spanish girl which will be nicely counter balanced by the cool poised Swedish type."*

*"Let me know when you next go to Europe as I do have some interesting and fun friends that you could hook up with."*

Maxwell was offering to set up Clinton's right-hand man with women for dinner parties in New York and "hook ups" in Europe.

The $14.2 Million Money Trail

EFTA00026524/EFTA00026525 document prosecutor analysis of Maxwell's finances:

*"On 4/14/2016, three checks ($3,609,665.75, $9,031,636.31 and $1,561,387.91) totaling $14,202,689.97 were deposited into the UBS account titled 116 East 65th Street LLC (Y1 23962). UBS documents reflect that Ghislaine Maxwell..."*

The 116 East 65th Street LLC was Epstein's Manhattan townhouse entity. The money flowed from Epstein's shell company directly into Maxwell's UBS accounts.

Maxwell's address on her UBS statements? **116 E 65th Street, New York, NY 10065** - Epstein's property.

She was living in his townhouse while receiving millions through his LLC.

The 2014 Maxwell Meeting Recap

EFTA00016033 is a UBS Private Wealth Management internal memo from January 2014:

*"15mm at JPM coming here"* (meaning $15 million from JPMorgan transferring to UBS)

*"10 is invested and 5 in cash"*

*"DOES NOT WANT ANY LOCK UP said that is why she is not married"*

*"Signing a deal to make anywhere between 1-4 million with a hedge fund that uses maritime activity to make decision on investing he has been running his own money and is being backed by a who who, worked for Obama"*

*"Her company cash Terremar kept here"* (TerraMar, Maxwell's ocean nonprofit)

*"May sell her Townhouse for 17mm"*

The hedge fund using "maritime activity" and "backed by a who's who, worked for Obama"? That's **CargoMetrics** - the Boston-based maritime tracking hedge fund run by **Scott Borgerson**, who Maxwell would later marry.

This memo shows Maxwell was being positioned with Borgerson **in 2014** - before they publicly "met."

The Stockholm Mystery

EFTA00023275-79 contain a chain of DOJ travel approval requests for the Epstein investigation (case 2018R01618). The trail:

- March 2019: West Palm Beach interviews

- April 2019: West Palm Beach meetings

- May/June 2019: Los Angeles victim interviews

- November 2019: Los Angeles interviews

- **January 21, 2020**: Request approved for Stockholm, Sweden witness interview

- **February 3-7, 2020**: DOJ team travels to Stockholm

*"Similar to prior requests in connection with the Epstein investigation (2018R01618), but with an added international element, we'd like to please request permission for the team to travel next week for an interview near Stockholm, Sweden"*

Who was in Sweden that required DOJ to fly investigators there?

EFTA00000730 contains a list of women with descriptions:

*"25 V pretty wants to leave Sweden - works for Elle mag"*

The timeline: DOJ requested Stockholm travel in January 2020. The Swedish Elle magazine worker appears in Epstein's files. Coincidence?

Jes Staley: "Is She Free Tonight?"

Jes Staley was CEO of JPMorgan's investment bank, later CEO of Barclays. EFTA00029428-29431 contain his emails with Epstein:

December 2009 (EFTA00029428):

*"I realize the danger in sending this email. But it was great to be able, today, to give you, in New York City, a long heartfelt, hug. To my friend, Thanks. Jes"*

July 2010 (EFTA00029431):

Epstein: *"well one side is available"*

Staley: *"Beauty and the Beast....."*

Epstein: *"what character would you like next"*

June 2010 (EFTA00029429):

Staley: *"Is she free tonight?"*

A major bank CEO was emailing a convicted sex offender asking if women were "free tonight" and discussing "characters."

Staley was forced out of Barclays in 2021 over his Epstein ties. These emails show why.

The Exposed Data

The files contain substantial personal data that appears to violate GDPR principles:

**Email Addresses:**

- [email protected] (Epstein personal)

- [email protected]

- [email protected] (Epstein - note the name)

- [email protected] (Maxwell)

- [email protected] (Island operation)

**Other PII:**

- Epstein's Social Security Number: 090-44-3348 (exposed in documents)

- Multiple victim addresses and phone numbers (redacted in some documents, exposed in others)

- Financial account numbers across UBS, JPMorgan, Deutsche Bank statements

The inconsistent redaction suggests rushed processing rather than systematic privacy protection.

Assessment: JP2 OCR vs Index Search

We ran targeted OCR on the original JP2 image files to check for redaction failures. Finding: **The redactions are professionally applied.** The JP2 images don't reveal names hidden under black boxes.

The story isn't in failed redactions - it's in **what they didn't redact**:

- Maxwell offering women to Clinton's aide

- $14.2M flowing from Epstein's LLC to Maxwell

- DOJ flying to Sweden to interview witnesses

- Bank CEOs asking if women are "free tonight"
