The Man Who Claimed Los Angeles, Chicago, and Now Minneapolis Has a Pattern. We Have Receipts.
Border Patrol Commander Gregory Bovino was caught on video telling his agents two things:
"Everybody fucking gets it if they touch you"
"This is OUR fucking city"
When shown this video during his deposition, Bovino's response was: "That appears to be me."
I politely disagree with Commander Bovino's assessment of whose city this is.
The Receipts
Receipt #1: "Outright Lying" Under Oath
A federal judge found that Bovino was "outright lying" during his depositions.
"Bovino appeared evasive over the three days of his deposition, either providing 'cute' responses… or outright lying." — U.S. District Judge Sara Ellis, November 2025

Receipt #2: Denied Tackling a Protester ON VIDEO
Video shows Bovino tackling protester Scott Blackburn to the ground outside the Broadview ICE facility in Chicago.
Attorney Locke Bowman's question: "And then you got over the barrier, tackled this man to the ground, and arrested him, right?"
Bovino's answer: "No."
Bowman: "So if somebody were watching that video and thought that you tackled the older gentleman... you'd say 'Don't believe your lying eyes'?"
Bovino: "I wouldn't say that."
Judge Ellis's finding: Bovino "obviously attacks and tackles" the man on video.

Receipt #3: Lied About Being Hit By a Rock
Bovino claimed a rock hit him before he deployed tear gas against protesters in Chicago's Little Village neighborhood.
Judge Ellis's finding: He lied. No rock hit him. He deployed tear gas without warning against the crowd anyway.

Receipt #4: "Everybody Fucking Gets It If They Touch You"
On video, Bovino told his agents: "Everybody fucking gets it if they touch you."
This is the tactical commander. Setting the tone. Establishing rules of engagement.
"Gets it" means what, exactly?

Receipt #5: "This Is OUR Fucking City"
On video, Bovino told his agents: "This is OUR fucking city."
He said this about Los Angeles. He said this about Chicago.
Now he's in Minneapolis.

Receipt #6: Operation Metro Surge - Minneapolis
Los Angeles (June 2025) - Protests, National Guard deployment, Marines activated
Chicago (Fall 2025) - "Operation Midway Blitz" - Tear gas, pepper balls, journalist suppression
Minneapolis (January 2026) - "Operation Metro Surge" - Two citizens killed

Receipt #7: Alex Pretti
On January 2026, ICE agents in Minneapolis shot and killed Alex Pretti, a VA nurse.
The second U.S. citizen killed by ICE agents in Minneapolis during Operation Metro Surge.
A nurse who served veterans. Shot by the people claiming to protect the country.

Receipt #8: The Judge's Full Assessment
"Defendant Bovino admitted that he lied about whether a rock hit him before he deployed tear gas in Little Village. In fact, he was not hit by a rock before lobbing a tear gas canister, without warning, at the crowd."
"Bovino also lied about his conduct outside the Broadview ICE facility, where video shows that he 'obviously attacks and tackles' a man. But Mr. Bovino, despite watching this video (in his deposition) says that he never used force."

Receipt #9: Ordered to Wear Body Camera
Stop agents from gassing protesters without warning
Stop agents from shooting pepper balls at journalists and trick-or-treaters
Wear a body camera
Make agents display identification
He claimed the Latin Kings put a bounty on his head as justification for why agents shouldn't have to identify themselves.

Receipt #10: "Commander-at-Large"
NBC Chicago documented the "rise and fall" of the "flashpoint Border Patrol 'commander-at-large'" who became the face of Trump's immigration crackdown.

The Pattern
City | Operation | Result |
Los Angeles | June 2025 Raids | Protests, National Guard, Marines, "This is OUR fucking city" |
Chicago | Operation Midway Blitz | Tear gas, pepper balls, lies under oath, judicial restraining order |
Minneapolis | Operation Metro Surge | Two citizens dead, including a VA nurse |
Same commander. Same tactics. Same attitude.
"This is OUR fucking city."
Minneapolis Right Now
🔴 Critical incidents
🟠 Active operations
🟢 Observed activity
From Brooklyn Park to Lakeville. From St. Paul to Plymouth.
This is the same man. The same operation. The same playbook.
I Politely Disagree
Commander Bovino believes this is his city.
I wasn't born here. But I live here. I pay taxes here. My neighbors are here.
Alex Pretti served veterans here. Renee's buried here now.
This is not Bovino's city.
This is not CBP's city.
This is not Operation Metro Surge's city.

This is OUR fucking city.
And I politely disagree with anyone who says otherwise.
