Jes Staley, then head of JPMorgan's investment bank and later CEO of Barclays, emails Epstein:

Mandelson forwards Epstein the invitation to the **Lujiazui Forum 2010** in Shanghai — the most important Chinese banking conference of the year. People's Bank of China, China Banking Regulatory Commission, China Securities Regulatory Commission, and China Insurance Regulatory Commission as co-hosts.

Mandelson tells Epstein:

> **"the entire Chinese banking fraternity is attending. Isn't it something that JPM should be represented at if they want to spread their wings in China?"**

Epstein forwards it to Jes Staley: **"I think he is right. you should read the attachments"**

**EFTA01300616** — The attached invitation: *"Dear Lord Mandelson... Dr. Fang already confirmed that we would offer both Lord Mandelson and Mr. Wegg Prosser first class round trip, three-night accommodations in Shanghai Shangri-La hotel..."*

A UK Cabinet minister was using a convicted sex offender as a channel to get JPMorgan into the Chinese banking market. This is the misconduct.

3. "Peter Mandelson Is Now Deputy Prime Minister"

Epstein emails Staley:

4. Election Night 2016 — The Friendship

Mandelson: **"By way, as political practitioner, donald is phenomenal. The craft and tenacity are amazing"**

Epstein: *"just skill and experience lacking unfortunately. it was his to win"*

Mandelson: *"How is [redacted]?"*

Epstein: *"married to [redacted], lives in [redacted]"*

Mandelson: *"She survived"*

This is not professional correspondence. This is friends talking about mutual acquaintances on election night. The redacted names suggest people they both know personally — names the DOJ considered sensitive enough to withhold.

5. The Copyright Coaching

One minute after the election night exchange, Epstein advises Mandelson:

Epstein was teaching Mandelson how to make their correspondence legally harder to publish. Mandelson responds:

Who is Ben? Likely a reference to someone in Mandelson's orbit — the identity matters because the copyright advice was meant to protect their entire circle, not just Mandelson.

6. The JPMorgan Report — "Petie"

- Epstein called Mandelson **"Petie"**

- Mandelson **stayed at Epstein's New York townhouse while Epstein was in prison** (2008-2009)

- Photo evidence: Mandelson and Epstein **celebrating a birthday at Epstein's Paris apartment**, January 2007

The New York townhouse — 9 East 71st Street — is the same property where the FBI found safes full of nude photographs, CDs labeled by name, and a massage table on every floor. Mandelson stayed there. While Epstein was in prison for sex offenses involving a minor.

7. The Daily Mail Questions

Epstein's lawyer Jack Goldberger forwards a Daily Mail inquiry about Epstein to him. Epstein forwards it to Staley. Goldberger's response to the reporter: **"ignoring"**
