# The Psychiatrist Who Knew: Henry Jarecki and the Two-Generation Epstein Operation
Three independent researchers hit our search engine within the same 24-hour window. All searching for the same name. All digging progressively deeper into the same documents. Henry Jarecki — psychiatrist, commodities king, owner of two private islands in the British Virgin Islands — was trending #1 on [epstein.dugganusa.com](https://epstein.dugganusa.com).
So we profiled him.
1,304 documents. 124 direct name hits. 56 documents involving his son Nicholas. Zero ICIJ offshore entities. One email compartment active ([email protected] — Epstein's primary personal account). And a set of smoking-gun emails that read like a confession written in the third person.
"Where Will I Get All the Talent?"
On April 11, 2010, Dr. Henry Jarecki wrote to Jeffrey Epstein:
> "Where will I get all the talent that has so usefully been expended on me?"
He then described Epstein's type: "good looking greyed men who like lots of young women and have a scientific bent and are American and Jewish."
The word "talent" is doing all the work in that sentence. And Jarecki chose it.

The Psychiatrist-Patient Inversion
Henry Jarecki is not some hedge fund manager who got invited to a dinner party. He is a trained psychiatrist — Yale Medical School faculty, co-author of *Modern Psychiatric Treatment* (1971), over a decade of clinical practice before transitioning to commodities trading through Mocatta Metals Corporation.
He understood exactly what Epstein was. And in June 2009, immediately after Epstein's release from his Florida sentence, Jarecki used his medical network to arrange psychiatric cover:
> "I called him right after you called me and he hasn't yet called back. He'll do what I ask. Is it okay that he knows it's you?" — [EFTA02439092](https://epstein.dugganusa.com/?q=EFTA02439092)
The psychiatrist he was referring — Dr. Klagsbrun — was being deployed to treat Epstein. The secrecy question ("Is it okay that he knows it's you?") tells you everything about the nature of this arrangement.
One month later, when Epstein announced he was "free and home," Jarecki responded with a joke about King George's madness:
> "I hope you do not come to your senses. And when's the party?" — [EFTA02440747](https://epstein.dugganusa.com/?q=EFTA02440747)
A psychiatrist telling a convicted sex offender he hopes he *doesn't* come to his senses. The "madness" he's referencing — and hoping continues — is the behavior that put Epstein in prison.
The Scorpion and the Frog
In December 2010, Epstein wrote to Jarecki:
> "I am well aware of the story of the scorpion and the frog." — [EFTA01831186](https://epstein.dugganusa.com/?q=EFTA01831186)
The fable: a scorpion asks a frog to carry him across a river. The frog says, "You'll sting me." The scorpion says, "Why would I? We'd both drown." Halfway across, the scorpion stings. As they sink, the frog asks why. The scorpion says: "It's my nature."
Epstein is telling a psychiatrist that his predatory nature is innate and unchangeable. This was the #1 trending document on our platform — 7 views from 3 unique researchers in 24 hours.
The Two-Generation Operation
It's not just Henry. His son Nicholas Jarecki — the filmmaker who directed *Arbitrage* (2012, starring Richard Gere, $35.5M worldwide gross) — appears in 56 documents and operated as what can only be described as a talent scout.
In May 2009, Nicholas shared a Rolling Stone profile of adult film performer Sasha Grey. Epstein's response:
> "bring her to florida" — [EFTA01829015](https://epstein.dugganusa.com/?q=EFTA01829015)
Nicholas followed up two days later with a detailed pitch:
> "She's a force of nature — 21 — started at 18 — hardest of hard core — nothing off limits... Has terrible representation... So how do we make money with her?" — [EFTA02442282](https://epstein.dugganusa.com/?q=EFTA02442282)
In September 2010, Nicholas pitched another woman to the Epstein network:
> "Here's Qaddafi's girl. Going to meet her for lunch in LA now. If she really comes with 4mm — I think she's perfectly talented for Al's daughter!" — [EFTA02421652](https://epstein.dugganusa.com/?q=EFTA02421652)
Women described as assets with dollar amounts attached. "Qaddafi's girl." And all of it flowing through the Epstein network, with Nicholas staying at Epstein's New Mexico ranch ("It's amazing here. I love it" — [EFTA02437618](https://epstein.dugganusa.com/?q=EFTA02437618)) and sending Epstein the financial data for *Arbitrage*.
The Maxwell Dinner
In April 2003, Ghislaine Maxwell organized a dinner at Epstein's residence. She wrote to Tom Pritzker:
> "24 people — Mandleson, black, blaine, brockman, Jarecki, Stroll maybe chicken + 5 models who are the serving girls" — [EFTA02335777](https://epstein.dugganusa.com/?q=EFTA02335777)
Jarecki. Named alongside Peter Mandelson and Leon Black. With "5 models who are the serving girls." This is Maxwell's operational pattern — recruiting young women as service staff for Epstein's events. Jarecki was there.
Cash-for-Sex Tax Law
In September 2009, Epstein shared a court ruling with Jarecki analyzing the tax treatment of payments to "mistresses or companions" — specifically whether "the most base type of cash-for-sex exchange" should be taxed differently from structured companion payments.
Jarecki's response: "Should I pass this to Wilens?" — [EFTA02409650](https://epstein.dugganusa.com/?q=EFTA02409650)
Two men discussing the legal framework for paying women for sex. Jarecki offering to route the analysis to his attorney.
Norman Island
In the "scorpion and frog" email, Epstein references a "Norman Island issue" in the context of a business dispute with Jarecki. Norman Island is a 600-acre private island in the British Virgin Islands that Jarecki purchased in 1999 for $8 million. Jarecki also owns Guana Island (850 acres, purchased 1975), which operates as an exclusive resort.
Two private islands in the BVI. Within sailing distance of Epstein's Little St. James.
Jane Doe 11
In June 2024, a woman identified as "Jane Doe 11" filed a federal lawsuit (1:24-cv-04208, SDNY) against Henry Jarecki. The core allegations: Epstein sexually abused her, then referred her to Jarecki — described as Epstein's "go-to doctor" for abuse victims — for psychiatric "treatment." She alleged Jarecki raped her repeatedly from 2011 to 2014, forced her to have sex with other men, trafficked her to his Caribbean island, and used immigration status threats as leverage.
Jarecki claimed the relationship was "consensual, non-secretive and mutually respectful." The case was dismissed with prejudice in April 2025 after the plaintiff retracted her claims.
