# The Receipts: What the DOJ's Own Documents Say About Trump and Epstein
*These are not accusations. These are not opinions. These are documents from the United States Department of Justice's own Epstein files — indexed, searchable, and cited by EFTA number. We are not a court. We are a search engine. The documents speak for themselves.*
What We Did
We indexed 329,474 DOJ Epstein documents and built a search engine at [epstein.dugganusa.com](https://epstein.dugganusa.com). Then we CARVER-scored 124 names across six dimensions: Criticality, Accessibility, Recuperability, Vulnerability, Effect, and Recognizability.
Donald Trump scored **20/30**.
For context: Leslie Groff scored 24/30. Les Wexner scored 24/30. Ghislaine Maxwell scored 23/30. Bill Clinton scored 19/30. The methodology is nonpartisan. The math doesn't care about your voter registration.
Here are the documents.
1. Epstein Coached Trump's Response
**EFTA02468039** — March 29, 2016
During the Republican primary, Epstein emailed his lawyer Kathy Ruemmler asking what Trump "should/could say" about Epstein when asked. Epstein was anticipating questions about their relationship and coordinating a response through counsel.
This is not the behavior of a casual acquaintance. This is crisis management between co-conspirators — or at minimum, between people who understood the relationship required a coordinated public story.
2. "Him and Epstein and 28 Girls"
**EFTA00030188** — July 10, 2019
A DOJ SDNY internal email circulated the Vanity Fair article quoting Florida businessman George Houraney. Houraney organized a "calendar girl" competition at Mar-a-Lago. When he arrived, Trump told him it would be just "him and Epstein and 28 girls."
This wasn't leaked to the press. This was circulated *internally* at the Southern District of New York during the active Epstein investigation. Federal prosecutors thought it was relevant enough to share among themselves.
3. Epstein Tracked the Rape Lawsuit
**EFTA02448454** — October 9, 2016
One month before the presidential election. Epstein emailed his lawyer a link to a LawNewz article: "Federal Judge Orders Hearing in Donald Trump Rape Lawsuit Case." Ruemmler responded: **"Never ends."**
**EFTA02456119** — July 23, 2016
Epstein shared a Daily Beast article titled "Trump Rape Accusers Turn on Each Other" with Joi Ito, then-director of MIT's Media Lab. Epstein was a co-defendant in the civil suit. He was monitoring it and sharing updates with his network.
**EFTA01297785** — Date unknown
A screenshot preserved in the evidence files shows someone in Epstein's circle actively Googling the lawsuit. The search query is visible: "Katie Johnson v. Donald J. Trump and Jeffrey E. Epstein."
**EFTA01386393** — 2016
The civil complaint itself — a $100 million claim — exists within the DOJ Epstein files. The case was filed and withdrawn multiple times. We note the filing. We do not characterize the outcome. The documents are in the index.
4. Epstein Had Kompromat on Melania
**EFTA02536428** — January 21, 2018
Epstein emailed Michael Wolff (author of *Fire and Fury*) calling Melania Trump's "achilles heel." He referenced the Stormy Daniels timeline relative to the birth of Barron Trump, and discussed a military escort to school.
**EFTA02539425** — January 12, 2018
Epstein told Wolff that transcripts "could drive him over the edge if the melania story doesn't come out." Epstein was analyzing Trump's psychological state in real-time and discussing what appears to be a leverage strategy with the author of the most damaging Trump exposé to date.
**EFTA02332411** — October 23, 2002
Melania personally emailed someone with initials "GI" (likely Ghislaine) about Jeffrey Epstein appearing in New York Magazine. She asked about Palm Beach. She signed it "Love, Melania." The tone is familiar. The relationship was personal.
5. Epstein's Lawyer Was Running Commentary
**EFTA02347227** — February 11, 2017: Ruemmler to Epstein: **"Trump is so gross."**
**EFTA02337225** — July 21, 2017: Ruemmler to Epstein: **"Trump is truly stupid."**
**EFTA02364761** — August 27, 2015: Ruemmler to Epstein: **"Trump is living proof it is better to be lucky than smart."**
Kathy Ruemmler was former Obama White House Counsel and Epstein's personal attorney. These emails establish that Trump was a constant, casual topic in Epstein's inner circle — discussed with the same familiarity you'd talk about a neighbor, not a stranger.
6. The Kushner Connection
**Timeline entry** — February 28, 2013
Jared Kushner invited Epstein to the New York Observer's 25th Anniversary party (**EFTA01901849**). This was five years after Epstein's sex offender conviction. Kushner owned the Observer at the time.
7. What the DOJ Scrubbed
After the Epstein Files Transparency Act required release of all documents, the DOJ published files to their website — then removed interview records. The scrubbed materials reportedly included FBI interview summaries with individuals who made allegations involving Trump.
We indexed what was released before the scrubbing. The documents above are from that index.
What This Is and What It Isn't
**This is**: A database. 329,474 documents, searchable by keyword, filterable by date, scored by methodology. Every EFTA number above is retrievable at [epstein.dugganusa.com](https://epstein.dugganusa.com).
**This is not**: A court. We don't render verdicts. We don't determine guilt. We present the government's own documents with citations so journalists, researchers, and the public can do their own analysis.
Trump scored 20/30 on CARVER. That's not a conviction. It's a measurement of exposure across six dimensions based on the documentary evidence. Clinton scored 19/30. Prince Andrew scored 21/30. The methodology applies equally.
The documents exist. They have EFTA numbers. They are searchable. The rest is up to the people reading them.
