# The Science Advisor: Boris Nikolic and the Gateway to Gates

When Jeffrey Epstein died in a Manhattan jail cell on August 10, 2019, the world learned something that stunned even those who had been following the case closely: Boris Nikolic — Bill Gates' former science advisor — had been named as an alternate executor of Epstein's will. Nikolic told Bloomberg he was "shocked" by the designation, which he said was made without his knowledge or consent. He declined to serve.

But the documents in our index tell a different story about the relationship between Nikolic and Epstein. Not a story of shock and distance. A story of years of direct communication, scheduled visits to Epstein's residences, shared flights, and — most disturbingly — a truncated email about a "hot new girl" sent to both men from a Gates Foundation email address.

Boris Nikolic appears in the Epstein evidence photo album. Page 6872, 74% confidence, score 3.029. He is there, in the personal photographs that the DOJ preserved as evidence.

The Hot New Girl Email

We will lead with the document that demands the most scrutiny because it deserves the most scrutiny. **EFTA02443942**, dated February 22, 2010, is an email from Sam Jaradeh to Boris Nikolic AND Jeffrey Epstein. The email is sent from [email protected] — meaning Nikolic was still at the Gates Foundation when this correspondence occurred. The visible text reads: "Hot new girl on the scene... Jeffery you'd lo..."

The sentence is truncated in the DOJ document release. We do not know what followed "you'd lo..." — love? love to meet? The truncation could be an artifact of document processing or deliberate redaction. What we do know is that someone named Sam Jaradeh sent an email about a "hot new girl" to both the science advisor of the Gates Foundation and Jeffrey Epstein, on the same thread, at the Gates Foundation email domain.

This is not an email about malaria research.

The Conduit: Epstein to the Gates World

The documents reveal Nikolic as the operational bridge between Epstein and the Gates orbit. The references are explicit and frequent.

**EFTA01903077**, February 27, 2013, Epstein to Nikolic: "does bill know senator bob kerry, not john, he used to run the new school?" Epstein is asking Nikolic to check whether Bill Gates has a relationship with a specific US Senator — using Nikolic as his access point to Gates' network.

**EFTA01905001**, February 17, 2013, Epstein to Nikolic: "ban ki moon really is looking forward to it, but asked that it only be him, and not george or david." Epstein is coordinating a meeting with the Secretary-General of the United Nations through Nikolic. The stipulation that Ban Ki-moon wants the meeting to exclude "george or david" — likely George Soros and David Rockefeller, though we cannot confirm — suggests a level of diplomatic sensitivity being managed through Nikolic as intermediary.

**EFTA01863558**, July 26, 2011, Epstein to Nikolic: "Re: how was jes call w Dick?" — "Jes" is Jes Staley, then head of JP Morgan's investment bank, later CEO of Barclays. Nikolic was involved in communications about Staley's conversations, placing him at the intersection of Epstein's financial and scientific networks simultaneously.

The Scheduled Visits

Lesley Groff was Epstein's longtime personal assistant — the operational backbone of his daily schedule. Her emails about Nikolic reveal a pattern of regular, in-person meetings at Epstein's residences.

**EFTA02410757**, July 2, 2010, Groff to Epstein: "Boris Nikolic has confirmed he will be at the house at 10:45 on Wed." The house. Not a restaurant, not an office, not a conference center. Epstein's residence.

**EFTA02416107**, November 17, 2010, Groff to Epstein: "Boris Nikolic has confirmed has confirmed 1:00 on Saturday...along with enthusiastic..." The double "has confirmed" is likely a typo, but "enthusiastic" — truncated — suggests Nikolic was not merely complying with scheduling requests. He was eager.

**EFTA01936067**, March 2014, Groff to Epstein: "Boris is asking if he could come see you around 7-7:30 on Wed. march 12th and bring his f..." Nikolic initiating the visit. Requesting a time. Bringing someone — "his f..." truncated. Friend? Family? The document does not say.

**EFTA02420134**, September 2, 2010, Groff to Epstein: "Boris called for you...I tried your cell but it went straight to voicemail." Nikolic calling Epstein directly. Groff intercepting. The rhythms of a regular relationship.

The Flights and the Foundation Email

**EFTA01898663** is a staff email noting: "Boris has booked himself on the same flight as... on Saturday morning to west palm beach." West Palm Beach is where Epstein's Palm Beach estate was located — the property where much of the criminal conduct occurred. Nikolic booking himself on the same flight suggests coordinated travel to Epstein's residence.

The email addresses in the documents tell their own story. Early correspondence uses [email protected]. Later emails use [email protected] — BGC3 being Bill Gates' private investment office, which Nikolic joined after leaving the Foundation. The transition in email domains traces Nikolic's career arc from the Gates Foundation to Gates' private office, and throughout both phases, the correspondence with Epstein continued.

"This Is a Different Kind of Seed"

**EFTA01863640**, May 12, 2011, Nikolic to Epstein: "this is a different kind of seed than you need." The context is unclear from the document alone. Nikolic was a venture capitalist with deep involvement in biotech — he later co-founded Biomatics Capital. "Seed" could refer to seed-stage investment, seed technology, or something else entirely. The ambiguity is the document's own, not ours.

Dean Kamen and the Social Calendar

**EFTA02339081**, April 12, 2013, Nikolic to Epstein: "Like that I would ever miss a chance to hang out with Jeffrey... Dean Kamen." The tone is affectionate, almost playful. Dean Kamen is the inventor of the Segway and founder of FIRST Robotics. The email is a response to "Jenn give Boris details" — Epstein's staff coordinating logistics for a gathering that included both Nikolic and Kamen. The eagerness is Nikolic's own words: he would never miss a chance.

**EFTA01891242** shows Nikolic emailing Eva Dubin — wife of hedge fund billionaire Glenn Dubin, a close Epstein associate — about cochlear implant surgery: "the one person that keeps coming up for Cochlear implant surgery is Dr J. Thomas Roland." The cross-pollination of Nikolic's medical expertise with Epstein's social circle demonstrates how deeply integrated he was into the network's personal lives, not just its financial or intellectual operations.

The Giving Pledge and Uncensored Comments

**EFTA01903035**, March 17, 2013, Epstein to Nikolic: "uncensored comments... giving pledge -I Pledge - people are left hanging." Epstein offering Nikolic his unfiltered assessment of the Gates-Buffett Giving Pledge. The intimacy of sharing "uncensored comments" about Bill Gates' signature philanthropic initiative — with Bill Gates' own science advisor — speaks to a relationship where professional boundaries had dissolved.

What 1,000+ Documents Tell Us

Boris Nikolic has stated he was unaware of Epstein's criminal conduct and was shocked to learn of his designation as alternate executor. He was never charged with any crime related to Epstein. The documents in our index do not prove knowledge of criminal activity. What they prove is proximity — years of it, across multiple email domains, multiple Epstein properties, and multiple layers of the Gates organization.

The science advisor who was "shocked" to be named in Epstein's will had been visiting his houses, flying to his Palm Beach estate, receiving emails about "hot new girls" at his Gates Foundation address, coordinating UN Secretary-General meetings, and telling friends he would "never miss a chance to hang out with Jeffrey."

The face on page 6872 belongs to a man who was not a casual acquaintance. The documents make that clear, whatever else they leave unsaid.
