# The Soffer Thread: 28 Offshore Entities, a Double Irish Blind, and Jeffrey Epstein's Cardiologist

From a Miami Vacation Email to the Council of Europe Secretary General to Putin

Somebody searched "Donald Soffer" on our platform. Then "Fisher Soffer 34 East 69." Then "Broadwell." Then they looked up a specific DOJ document — EFTA01885793 — and found Tom Pritzker telling Jeffrey Epstein that General David Petraeus had loaned him military helicopters in Afghanistan.

We didn't plant that trail. The documents did. We just built the search engine.

The Three Soffers

The name "Soffer" appears in the Jeffrey Epstein DOJ document release in three distinct contexts. None of them are casual.

1. "The Soffer" in Miami

**Document EFTA01898034** — Email to Jeffrey Epstein, March 19, 2013:

> *"Just came back from 1 week of holidays in Miami with the Soffer and my husband. Lovely time! I am very tan and beautiful."*

The sender: a European woman with a house in Cannes, an apartment being renovated in London, an Italian husband, and a career organizing art exhibitions. She uses the definite article — "the Soffer" — like a surname everyone in the circle knows.

Donald Soffer is the billionaire developer of Turnberry Associates, builder of Aventura Mall (one of the largest shopping centers in America), and the Turnberry Ocean Colony residential towers on Collins Avenue in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida.

2. Dr. Soffer and the Council of Europe Secretary General

**Document EFTA01888282** — Lesley Groff (Epstein's executive assistant) to Epstein, September 26, 2012:

> *"Dr. Shimony is out today for Yom Kippur and will be at a UN meeting all day tomorrow. Dr. Shimony's partner, Dr. Soffer, will be in tomorrow after 2pm however and could see Jagbland."*

"Jagbland" is a misspelling of **Thorbjørn Jagland** — the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, the continent's premier human rights body. Dr. Rony Shimony is a cardiologist at Mount Sinai, Director of Clinical Cardiology, Associate Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine. His partner, Dr. Soffer, is seeing the head of the Council of Europe at Epstein's direction.

**Document EFTA01941232** shows why this matters: Epstein emails Jagland about **"Russian bitcoin for Putin"** and a Davos invitation. The same Jagland. The man Epstein's cardiologist was treating is the man Epstein was brokering access to Putin through.

**Document EFTA02285918** — May 2019, weeks before Epstein's arrest: his assistant emails Dr. Shimony asking to buy an EKG machine "for his island."

3. Ron Soffer at 34 East 69th Street

**Documents dataset10-EFTA01324981, EFTA01325003, EFTA01325008** — Legal filings:

Ron Soffer and Diane Fisher, operating as "Fisher & Soffer" (a/k/a "Fisher & Sophir"), were subtenants at **34 East 69th Street** in Manhattan. The legal filings document Epstein seeking to eject Fisher & Soffer from the premises. 34 East 69th Street is two blocks from Epstein's townhouse at 9 East 71st Street — the same Upper East Side corridor.

The Offshore Trail: 28 Turnberry Entities Across 8 Jurisdictions

Cross-referencing "Turnberry" against the ICIJ's offshore leaks databases — 1,785,560 entities from the Panama Papers, Paradise Papers, Pandora Papers, and Bahamas Leaks — returns 48 hits, including 28 corporate entities:

Entities spanning from 1987 to at least 2011. Incorporated in BVI, Bahamas, Barbados, Nevis, Aruba, Malta, Panama, and Luxembourg. Some default or dissolve; new ones replace them. A rolling portfolio of offshore vehicles across four decades.

The Double Irish Blind

**TURNBERRY LIMITED** — Paradise Papers, Malta corporate registry. Incorporated June 20, 2007.

Registered address: **TURNBERRY, 23, KERRYMOUNT AVENUE, FOXROCK, DUBLIN 18, IRELAND.**

Foxrock is one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in Dublin. An entity incorporated in **Malta** operating from an address in **Dublin**. This is the classic "Double Irish" structure — a Malta-incorporated entity with Irish substance, enabling profits to flow between two EU jurisdictions with favorable treaty networks.

The same address appears twice in the Paradise Papers — once as "TURNBERRY, 23, KERRYMOUNT AVENUE" and once as "TURNBEERRY, 23, KERRYMOUNT AVENUE" — a one-letter typo across two separate filings, confirming it's the same physical location registered independently.

The Aventura Address

Two address records in the Paradise Papers (Appleby) point to the same physical location:

19495 Biscayne Boulevard is the corporate headquarters of **Turnberry Associates** — Donald Soffer's real estate development company. The suite number, building name, and address are identical to Turnberry Associates' publicly listed office.

The Turnberry Ocean Colony

Two apartments at Donald Soffer's Turnberry Ocean Colony development appear in the Paradise Papers (Appleby):

- **16051 Collins Ave, Apt 3602** — Sunny Isles Beach, FL 33160

Different apartments, same building, same leak source. Individuals living in Soffer's development using Appleby — the Bermuda-based offshore services firm whose leaked files became the Paradise Papers — for offshore entity management.

The Turnberry Way Shell

**SERIRA CORPORATION** — Panama Papers, BVI. Registered to:

> *MR. ROLANDO UZIEL, NE 36 COURT - APT. 20-L, 19355 TURNBERRY WAY, MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA 33180-2577 USA*

**Rolando Uziel** appears separately in the Panama Papers as an **intermediary** — not just a client, but someone who facilitates the creation of offshore entities for others. He lives at Turnberry Way — in the Turnberry development — and operates BVI shell companies through Mossack Fonseca.

The Jersey Trustee

**TURNBERRY INTERNATIONAL HOLDINGS LIMITED** (Panama Papers, BVI, incorporated July 1994) lists its registered address as:

> *UBS BRIDGE TRUSTEES (JERSEY) LTD., P.O. BOX 450, 40 THE ESPLANADE, ST. HELIER, JERSEY JE4 8NW, CHANNEL ISLANDS — ATTN: MR. CHRISTOPHER BUNT*

UBS Bridge Trustees (Jersey) Ltd. is a trust administration subsidiary of UBS, the Swiss banking giant. They serve as registered agent for dozens of BVI entities in the Panama Papers. The Turnberry entity is held through the same UBS Jersey trust infrastructure used by wealth management clients worldwide.

The Thread That Opens

An investigator on our platform — one of 37 people who have searched for "Soffer" since February 8 — followed this chain:

1. "Ron Soffer French Israeli lawyer Paris"

2. "Weingarten Soffer Paris French"

3. "Fisher Soffer 34 East 69" (Epstein's property)

4. Four hours later: "Broadwell" (Paula Broadwell — Petraeus scandal)

5. Looked up specific document **EFTA01885793**

6. "remote valley Afghanistan Patraeus chopper"

Document EFTA01885793 is Tom Pritzker emailing Jeffrey Epstein:

> *"Had Patraeus over to lunch today. Interesting."*

Document EFTA02397051 is the same Tom Pritzker to Epstein:

> *"I am in a remote valley of Afghanistan (its my birthday wish) with Boys with Toys. Spent time w Patraeus yesterday and he loaned me a chopper (actually two with one as a back up)."*

The CIA Director loaned military helicopters to a Hyatt Hotels billionaire on his birthday trip to Afghanistan, who emailed Jeffrey Epstein about it.

And document EFTA02454350 — Pritzker shares the **Aspen Strategy Group** membership list with Epstein:

> *"Members include Patraeus, Albright, Slaughter, Donilon (Obama NSA), Hadley (Bush NSA), Sullivan (NSA=Hillary), Bill Burns (State #2), Kurt Campbell, Hoss Cartwright (#2 Joint Chiefs), Harman, Ignatius, Sanger, Nunn, Reed, Sawers (MI6), Sherman (Iran deal), Work (current #2 DoD)."*

Jake Sullivan — now National Security Advisor. Bill Burns — now CIA Director. John Sawers — former head of MI6. Shared casually with Epstein, who replies: "im in santa fe for the next two weeks come visit."

Soffer was the entry point. The thread opens: Shimony → Jagland → Putin → Pritzker → Petraeus → Aspen Strategy Group → Sullivan → Burns → MI6 → the post-2016 national security establishment.

What the Data Shows

We note explicitly: we have not established a direct ownership link between the 28 Turnberry offshore entities and Donald Soffer personally. "Turnberry" is a common name. The ICIJ data does not include beneficial ownership for most entities.

What we can establish:

1. The name "Soffer" appears in three separate contexts in the Epstein DOJ release — Miami vacations, medical access to foreign heads of state, and property relationships

2. 28 entities bearing the "Turnberry" name — Donald Soffer's signature brand — appear across 8 offshore jurisdictions in four major leak databases

3. Two addresses in the Paradise Papers point to Turnberry Associates' corporate headquarters at 19495 Biscayne Blvd, Aventura, FL

4. Two apartments at Soffer's Turnberry Ocean Colony development appear in the Paradise Papers

5. An intermediary living at Turnberry Way operates BVI shell companies through Mossack Fonseca

6. A Malta-incorporated entity operates from a Dublin address under the "Turnberry" name — a Double Irish structure

7. The Turnberry BVI entity is held through UBS Jersey trust infrastructure

8. TURNBERRY MANAGEMENT S.A. (Pandora Papers, Alcogal) remains **ACTIVE**
