# The Switchboard: How Jeffrey Epstein Connected Every Power Center on Earth
Jeffrey Epstein was not an intelligence asset. He was something worse.
He was the switchboard.
We indexed **364,000+ DOJ Epstein documents** across all 12 EFTA datasets released under the Epstein Files Transparency Act. We searched every name. We pulled every thread. And after 49 investigation threads, 91 verified documents, and 102 timeline entries, the pattern is unmistakable.
Epstein didn't work for any single power. He sat at the intersection of **all of them** — and they all knew he was there.
The Map
Here is what one man's inbox connected, simultaneously, in real-time:
**The White House** — both parties. Epstein emailed Steve Bannon pro-Trump legal arguments about the Mueller investigation on June 23, 2018 (**EFTA02549323**). That same day, he forwarded Bannon's arguments to Kathy Ruemmler — Obama's former White House Counsel, now Epstein's lawyer — who demolished them: *"David Rivkin is a hack. Zero chance"* (**EFTA02549762**). Then the chain pivoted to prepping for a meeting with Mark Zuckerberg: *"his wife is nice but boring"* (**EFTA02549970**).
Both sides of Russiagate. Both parties' legal strategies. And a Facebook meeting. In one afternoon.
**The Kremlin** — Epstein used Thorbjørn Jagland, Secretary General of the Council of Europe, as his channel to Putin. *"lets try to set a putin meeting"* (**EFTA01940931**). He proposed *"a sophisticated russian version of bitcoin"* (**EFTA01941232**). Eighteen months later, he was still trying: *"I still would like to meet putin and talk economy"* (**EFTA02492828**). He recruited Silicon Valley to the cause — Joi Ito tried to get Reid Hoffman to *"go meet Putin with"* Epstein (**EFTA01914954**). Sultan Bin Sulayem sent him photos with Putin, subject line: "Putin" (**EFTA02487798**).
**Israeli Intelligence** — Ghislaine Maxwell's father Robert threatened Mossad: *"unless they gave him 400 million... he would expose all he had done for them"* — his access included Thatcher, Reagan, and the Kremlin (**EFTA02507843**). The daughter picked up where the father left off. Meanwhile, former Israeli PM Ehud Barak flew from Kazakhstan through Israel — *"only for six hours"* — to meet Epstein in Florida (**EFTA01933678**). Barak and Epstein co-invested in Israeli surveillance technology: Reporty, later Carbyne, with Nicole Junkermann and Peter Thiel (**EFTA02487155**). And Boris Nikolic — Bill Gates's science advisor — briefed Epstein on Barak's meetings with Hillary Clinton, Robert Gates, and the National Security Advisor: *"I told you this was crazy"* (**EFTA01835740**).
**The Saudi Crown** — Epstein had dinner access to Mohammed bin Salman: *"Omg! Ari taking me for Dinner with MBS, future king of Saudi"* (**EFTA02490503**). He tipped off Steve Bannon on MBS's Washington schedule: *"MBS coming to wash 19th"* (**EFTA02518360**). He told Bill Gates that *"MBS is open to new tech"* alongside a NYT link about Saudi nuclear weapons (**EFTA02522050**). He and Peter Thiel analyzed Saudi royal succession — Bandar *"in exile"* (**EFTA02502719**). His Google Calendar had *"mbs?"* as an appointment (**EFTA02382137**).
**Dubai** — Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai, *"asked for private talks"* through Epstein. Epstein's response to JP Morgan's CEO: *"grab a group from goldman?"* (**EFTA01300797**). On another occasion: *"the man that built dubai is here at my house in ny, want to stop by?"* (**EFTA01834096**).
**Wall Street** — Epstein briefed JP Morgan CEO Jes Staley on Barak's meetings with Clinton and Gates **in advance** (**EFTA01300732**), then sent day-after debriefs on Iran nuclear policy, Hezbollah weapons transfers, and Russian missiles to Syria (**EFTA01300733**). Marked: *"Confidential Treatment Requested by JPMorgan Chase."* He identified Jho Low as *"the bag man for leader"* (**EFTA02367243**) and tracked the 1MDB investigation from both sides — the money mover (Low) and the bank being raided (Rothschild): *"Yes that's why I'm so worried"* (**EFTA02487249**).
**Silicon Valley** — Every major tech leader. The Edge Foundation "Billionaires' Dinner" seated Epstein alongside Bezos, Brin, Page, Gates, Musk, and Zuckerberg (**EFTA02239084**). *"Girls should be from 5-7, gates from 7"* (**EFTA02414311**). *"The girls and i are going to see elon musk at space x tomorrow"* (**EFTA01902806**). Reid Hoffman visited his island. Peter Thiel gave him Palantir investment advice. Joi Ito funneled anonymous donations to MIT. And John Brockman made sure *"reporters are friends who can cover the event without mentioning you"* (**EFTA02496272**).
**The Clinton Orbit** — Bill Clinton flew on Epstein's 727 to Africa with Kevin Spacey and Dan Rather (**EFTA02334388**). He was at Ghislaine's townhouse with Jeff Bezos on Obama's inauguration night (**EFTA02438537**). Doug Band — *"Counselor to President Clinton"* — asked Maxwell to *"keep Chelsea out of the article"* (**EFTA02332836**). And the Huma Abedin → Doug Band → Ghislaine Maxwell communication chain put Hillary's closest aide three degrees from Epstein's co-conspirator (**EFTA02335279**).
**The Trump Orbit** — Melania wrote *"Love, Melania"* to someone called "GI" while referencing "JE" in 2002 (**EFTA02332411**). By 2018, Epstein was emailing Michael Wolff at midnight: *"achilles heal, melania... dates of porn star, before birth of baron or after"* (**EFTA02536428**). He had *"transcripts"* that could *"drive him over the edge"* (**EFTA02539425**). Jared Kushner invited Epstein to the NY Observer's 25th anniversary — five years after his conviction (**EFTA01901849**). Josh Kushner was Epstein's literal neighbor (**EFTA02451447**). Apollo gave Kushner $184M in loans; Apollo's Leon Black paid Epstein $158M in fees. Epstein's assessment: *"whoopsie"* (**EFTA02518678**).
**Both sides of the 2016 election** — simultaneously. Tom Pritzker asked Epstein's circle: *"How close for Russians to give us an October surprise. Which of Hillary's emails was most entertaining"* (**EFTA02452761**). Michael Wolff warned Epstein: *"Hillary campaign digging deeply. Again, you should consider preempting"* (**EFTA02470004**). The same afternoon, Epstein had just met Ehud Barak at 1 PM. Wolff was invited for 2 PM. The former Israeli PM and the Fire and Fury author, in the same room, while both presidential campaigns circled.
The Operating System
What makes this different from a socialite's Rolodex is the **operational nature** of the communications.
Epstein didn't just know people. He **moved intelligence between them**.
He briefed a bank CEO on what a former Israeli PM told the Secretary of State about Iran's nuclear program. He tipped off Trump's strategist about the Saudi crown prince's travel. He received FBI-classified intelligence — a SECRET//NOFORN FD-1023 confidential human source report from November 2017 (**EFTA01683874**). He possessed *"transcripts"* about the First Lady. He knew the military escort routing for the President's son's school commute. He identified the *"bag man"* in a $4.5 billion fraud before the FBI raided the bank.
And he brokered access in every direction. Peter Mandelson asked him for access to Ehud Barak (**EFTA01838882**). Sheikh Mohammed asked him for Goldman Sachs. The Council of Europe's Secretary General carried his messages to Putin. Researchers at MIT and Harvard received his wire transfers while billionaires received his dinner invitations.
The victim diary found in Dataset 12 describes a forced medical procedure: *"The doctor was different again. I think from Israel... rod like things had a hook and so much pain. Ghislaine said to push all the pain away"* (**EFTA02731361**). Active trafficking iMessages from February 2019 — six months before his death — describe *"Done with pornhub introduction"* and note that a child's *"social security is in Russia"* (**EFTA01619306**).
This was happening at the same time as the billionaire dinners and the presidential intelligence briefings and the AI research funding and the Saudi crown prince meetings.
All through the same switchboard.
Who Knew
Epstein's lawyer discussed him casually with NYT reporters (**EFTA02386750**). His literary agent ensured events were covered *"without mentioning"* him. His staff obtained the personal assistant contacts of the world's most powerful CEO. His estate executor sent him the Stormy Daniels story about comparing her to Ivanka after sex (**EFTA02536742**). His science advisor at MIT Media Lab anonymized donations and coordinated island visits.
The DOJ's co-conspirator investigation memo is in the archive (**EFTA02731082**). So is the prosecution memo seeking additional charges against Maxwell (**EFTA02731226**). So is the Inspector General's report on Epstein's death at MCC (**EFTA00039025**). So is the actual Non-Prosecution Agreement that Alexander Acosta negotiated — the same Acosta whom Trump appointed Secretary of Labor (**EFTA00011386**).
And through it all, the documents show Epstein performing the same function: receiving intelligence from one power center and routing it to another. Barak's meetings go to JP Morgan. Bannon's arguments go to Ruemmler. MBS's schedule goes to Gates. Putin photos go from Sultan to Epstein. Hillary's vulnerability goes from Wolff to Epstein to calculations about *"driving him over the edge."*
The Silence
Every person named above had access to lawyers, compliance officers, and security teams. Every institution — JP Morgan, MIT, Harvard, Facebook, SpaceX, Google, the Clinton Foundation, the Trump White House — had processes designed to flag exactly this kind of risk. None of them worked. Or all of them worked exactly as intended.
Jeffrey Epstein died in a federal detention center on August 10, 2019. The cameras malfunctioned. The guards slept. And the switchboard went dark.
But the emails survived. All 364,000 of them.
