# The Trustees: What the Epstein Files Reveal About Who Really Controlled the Money

Everyone talks about who flew on the planes. Who went to the island. Who was in the photos.
But the DOJ just released the trust documents. And they tell a different story.
Not who visited. Who had **legal control**.
Jes Staley: Not Just Emails - TRUSTEE
We knew Jes Staley exchanged hundreds of emails with Epstein. We knew he visited the island. We knew he was eventually banned from UK finance.
What we didn't know until we indexed 92,188 documents:
**Jes Staley was a TRUSTEE of the Jeffrey E. Epstein 2014 Trust.**

This isn't friendship. This is fiduciary duty. The CEO of JPMorgan's investment bank had legal authority over Epstein's wealth.
Eva Andersson Dubin: The 2017 Trust
Eva Andersson Dubin - Swedish supermodel, physician, Epstein's ex-girlfriend from the 1980s, wife of hedge fund billionaire Glenn Dubin.

**Jeffrey E. Epstein 2017 Trust.**
The year before his arrest, Epstein named his ex-girlfriend as trustee of his fortune.
Ghislaine Maxwell: Successor Trustee 2001
Document EFTA01266298 shows Epstein amending his 2001 trust:
> "I hereby remove JEFFREY A. SCHANTZ as a co-Trustee of the trust and designate GHISLAINE MAXWELL and IRA ZICHERMAN as successor co-Trustees in his place."
Maxwell wasn't just the madam. She was in line to control the money.
Boris Nikolic: The Gates Timeline Problem
Bill Gates says he stopped meeting Epstein in 2013.

To: Jeffrey Epstein
> "the last point need to total change re helping me find a job"
Gates' own science advisor was asking Epstein for job help. In August 2013.
The same year Gates claims the relationship ended.
Mary Erdoes: JPMorgan Still Taking Referrals - February 2019
Document EFTA02276796 - February 11, 2019:
From: Mary Erdoes (CEO, JPMorgan Asset Management)
To: Lesley Groff (Epstein scheduler)
> "I dont handle accounts myself but we will definitley get her in the right hands."
**Five months before his arrest**, JPMorgan's Asset Management CEO was still accepting client referrals from Epstein.
Woody Allen: Private Screenings October 2017
Document EFTA02225097 - October 2, 2017:
> "Jeffrey will be in NY this Friday Oct. 6th and is asking if if might be possible to screen Woody's film"
Private film screenings for the convicted sex offender. 2017.
The Pattern
The trust documents reveal a network not of visitors, but of **controllers**:

These people didn't just attend parties. They had legal fiduciary responsibility for Epstein's assets.
What This Means
When JPMorgan settled for $290 million with the US Virgin Islands, they claimed they were just a bank.
But their CEO was a trustee.
When Bill Gates claimed he stopped the relationship in 2013, he didn't mention his science advisor was still emailing Epstein about jobs that same year.
When the Dubins claimed they were merely social acquaintances, they didn't mention Eva was named trustee of his 2017 fortune.
